BIG OPEN HOUSE SCHEDULED AT ONE RIVER PLACE (ORP) 1225 E RIVER DRIVE, DAVENPORT:
New tenants at ORP Suite #201 are known as the ART LEGACY LEAGUE. “ALL” has an open house scheduled for FRIDAY, NOV 20 from 3:00 to 5:00 with Ribbon Cutting at 4:00. The celebration is sponsored by EnviroNET (Suite #101) and One River Place Management. Enjoy the three-stage orientation to WHO WHY & HOW. In addition, you will learn of the fantastic contributions the Art Legacy League makes to our community. Celebration includes social distancing protocols & CDC guidelines.
· Stage 1: 15x15’ tent set up in the three ADA parking Spaces with heater, light and hot cider. This is where Chamber Ambassadors and well-wishers will meet and cut the ribbon. 4:00.
· Stage 2: Suite #201 will be open to the public, 10-15 people at a time, masks required, for a 10-minute overview, with examples of fine art being made. ALL is a faith-based organization bringing forward the world-renowned art legacy of Father Edward Catich, making the world a better place through ART: etchings in slate, marble sculptures, water colors, oil painting, drawing, and other media.
· Stage 3: Suite #325 will serve as a gallery of selected works completed, with a docent to share short stories and answer questions. HERE is where the RAFFLE drawing will take place. Also, swag bags with surprises will be given out.
Try your hand at the art of stone cutting, water coloring, calligraphy or another of the featured techniques. Learn about the foundation of this fantastic “Legacy” through the eyes of local talented artists and teachers. Obtain ALL’s IDEA LIST for giving the gift of art or art lessons for Christmas 2020.
“The Art Legacy League is a great asset to our community. Other small businesses at One River Place are excited to view the fabulous variety of art now staged in the lobbies and corridors. We all look forward to opportunities to engage in art classes like drawing, calligraphy, painting and art history. We are blessed to have the proteges of the world-renown educator, calligrapher and artist, Father Edward Catich, in our building. People travel from around the world to view originals of Catich’s work and to take instruction from the masters in our midst.” said Molly Newell, Proprietor of One River Place.
