We have some pressing issues to address before the QC region will achieve its full potential. We ask all business and community leaders to come forward now.
At this Business Forum, we will convene a group of highly-seasoned innovators to have a frank discussion about talent attraction and retention.
- You’ll hear about the talent challenges facing our region including stats and research about our changing demographics.
- Lillie Huhndorf, Regional Director of Sales from Lee Enterprises / Amplified Digital will share her marketing expertise on what factors go into making the big decision to relocate and what families are seeking.
- Augustana College President Steve Bahls will facilitate attendee table discussions to brainstorm and build solutions. Each person will be asked to share every creative, inventive and resourceful idea and best practice to address our workforce needs. Together we will build solutions and each person will commit to putting at least one of those into play within their business or in our community.
Talent may not be an issue facing every business right now, but it is an issue challenging our region’s prosperity. We've set the audacious goal to grow the region's population to 500,000 by 2030, and we can do it, together. It is work that will benefit our region, not just some of us, but the sum of us all.

Lillie Huhndorf serves as Regional Director for Amplified Digital/Lee Enterprises. She has spent the past 9 years working across the country in markets such as Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Wyoming. She has focused on combining insights with digital marketing to develop strategic campaigns that grow revenue, increase conversions, and drive ROI for business partners.
