Buffalo Elementary, 1000 Jefferson St. Buffalo, IA 52728, will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Monday, August 22 at 5:00pm to cleebrate the launch of thier S.T.E.A.M. Lab. Celebrate Iowa's first integrated STEAM Lab and learn more about the school's new curriculum for 21st Century learners, integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math. The new facility will serve students K-5 with hands-on science, technology, engineering, arts and math experiences, creating an integrated, innovative, learning environment driven by problem solving, discovery and exploratory learning. S.T.E.A.M. learning promotes student readiness for college or careers, and prepares students for a 21st century workforce. Opening remarks and ribbon cutting are promptly at 5:15 p.m. with student demonstrations and refreshments throughout the night. RSVP is encouraged to assure proper recognition.
