Description

German American Heritage Center will host a ribbon cutting on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 1:00 PM.  The Center is located at 712 W 2^nd Street in Davenport, IA.
 
They are celebrating new upgrades and expanded content in their permanent exhibition, The German Immigrant Experience.  Professionally designed exhibition space which has not been updated in 16 years.  This update will engage their visitors with more comprehensive and inclusive stories about immigration to the Quad Cities. 
 
The mission of the German American Heritage Center is to preserve and enrich for present and future generations knowledge of the German immigrant experience and its impact on American culture.  Their focus is cultural programs and immigrant contributions.  They reach out to other cultural groups and demonstrate the contributions made by immigrants from many countries and from varied backgrounds to the ethnic palette which is the United States.
