Please join us for a special screen (with discussion to follow) of THE GLASS CASTLE, written by Jeanette Walls. Ms. Walls is one of the featured keynote speakers at the upcoming 2018 IWLC Quad Cities Women's Leadership Conference (March 29, 2018). All money raised from this event will go towards conference scholarships.

The evening will begin with cocktails and appetizers at 530pm, with the movie and discussion to follow. If you haven't seen the movie, this is a great way to see it. Even if you have seen the movie, this is the perfect way to refresh your memory. Perhaps, you've just read the book--now you need to see the movie.

Based on Ms. Wall's memoir, four siblings must learn to take care of themselves as their responsibility-averse, free-spirit parents (Woody Harrelson and Naomi Watts) both inspire and inhibit them. When sober, the children's brilliant and charismatic father captured their imagination, teaching them physics, geology, and how to embrace life fearlessly. But when he drank, he was dishonest and destructive. Meanwhile, their mother abhorred the idea of domesticity and didn't want to take on the work of raising a family. Jeanette Walls is played by Brie Larson.
