AMp Up Morning Networking: An inside look at the Quad City International Airport 
In the spirit of Keep It QC, a new movement about the power of doing business locally to advance the Quad Cities' regional economy, the Chamber is proud to present a program that highlights the of businesses in our community.

Join us for a presentation from Benjamin Leischner, Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) and executive director for the Quad City International Airport. Analysts have predicted it may take several years for the air travel industry to recover from COVID-19. Leischner will talk about the impact COVID-19 has had on air travel at MLI and how the airport has responded, as well as the work being done to restore air service and how the community plays a role in these efforts. Lastly, Leischner will talk about the exciting improvements coming to MLI in the coming year and beyond.

Meet Our Speaker:
Benjamin Leischner, A.A.E., | Executive Director, Quad City International Airport

Benjamin Leischner, A.A.E., joined the Quad City International Airport as the executive director in 2018. In his first nearly three years at the helm, Leischner created an ambitious roadmap to improve the passenger experience through adding amenities and embarking on a major terminal upgrade, as well as renew the organization's focus on infrastructure, accountability and taking a more prominent role as an economic engine for the Quad Cities region.

Leischner previously worked for the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport for 7 years, holding positions of increased levels of responsibility. He most recently served as airport operations manager/airline scheduling manager. He has previous experience with the Port of Bellingham, Bellingham International Airport and DY Consultants. He earned a bachelor's degree in aviation management and flight operations from Florida Institute of Technology and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Nebraska. Leischner is an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) from the American Association of Airport Executives and is a commercial instrument pilot.
