Under the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) created by the CARES Act, loans may be forgiven if borrowers use the proceeds to maintain their payrolls and pay other specified expenses. The application form and instructions for loan forgiveness were recently released.
Join Kevin Schmitt, Vice President of Honkamp Krueger & Co. P.C. to learn more about the PPP forgiveness application process and gain valuable insight on successfully completing the application. Anne Friederichs, from the Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will also be available to answer questions. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit their questions during this informational webinar.
Update: The webinar will also discuss the Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act of 2020 which:
- Increases the loan forgiveness period from eight weeks to 24 weeks
- Changes the 75/25 payroll / non-payroll requirement for loan forgiveness to 60/40
- Increases the loan repayment period from two to five years
- Allows payroll tax deferral for PPP recipients
- Extends the June 30 rehiring deadline to December 31, 2020.

Ann Friederichs, Business Advisor | Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
Ann Friederichs currently serves as the Business Advisor at the Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) based at Western Illinois University's Quad Cities campus.
Friederichs has previously been an owner and agent for Karwath Insurance Inc., a producer/agent for Nelson Brothers Agency, and executive director for the Davenport Schools Foundation. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Colorado State University.
Ann provides confidential one-on-one counseling to small businesses in the areas of business start-up, expansion, acquisition and sale. She also assists with business planning, marketing, record keeping and financial analysis.
