Humble Dwellings' mission is to serve people in need in our community by transforming
their living spaces into warm and inviting homes using gently used furniture and household items.

Every week individuals and families in crisis walk into empty apartments and houses with
nothing but hope for a better future. With your support, Humble Dwellings will continue to
transform those empty spaces into safe, comfortable homes.
For eight years, Humble Dwellings has helped to foster success and dignity for those
escaping homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, aging out of the foster care system or
moving from unsafe spaces. Our reach has expanded threefold - in 2025 alone, our
dedicated team of nearly 200 volunteers served 467 individuals in 164 households.
A core priority is ensuring every client in need receives a new bed and pillow. Last year, we
invested $110,000 in beds alone. Additional essential items that are not donated add
significantly to our costs.
Like any organization, we also face ongoing operational expenses, including annual rent for
our storage facility, fuel and maintenance for our delivery truck, IT support, and insurance.
Corporate support helps sustain these critical services so we can continue meeting the
growing need. This is the purpose of “Welcome Home 2026,” our first ever major fundraiser,
on October 23, 2026.
