About Us

Family Resources strengthens children, families and individuals by providing quality services that engage community resources to create effective solutions.

Family Resources is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) founded in 1849. Originally as a home for orphaned children, our services have grown to serve children, families and individuals in a variety of social service programs. Family Resources offers services in eastern Iowa and western Illinois with main offices in Davenport, Muscatine, Moline and Clinton.

Our Services:
Our survivor services programs include: Shelter and Housing Program, Domestic and Sexual Abuse Services, Braking Traffik, Engaging Males, and Survivors of Homicide and Other Violent Crimes. These programs offer comprehensive resources and services to all survivors of domestic and/or sexual abuse, sex and labor trafficking, homicide, or other violent crimes.

Our group care program is dedicated to serving our community’s youth by providing structured and positive environments with the goal of reconnecting that youth to a home environment.

Family Resources offers mental health services in a safe, confidential and trauma-informed environment. Services are offered to individuals, couples, families and children. Additionally, Medicaid members in Scott and Muscatine counties with mental health, emotional or behavioral challenges are eligible to access services through Integrated Health Home (IHH). IHH is a program that helps to ensure these community members are provided care coordination, peer support, and help in accessing other services.

Other Partnered Services:

• Iowa Aftercare: services to youth who have aged out of the foster care system

• Fairmount Pines Program: after school and summer programming for youth living at the Fairmount Pines community
