QC Museum Month Returns This October, Inviting Visitors to Explore Museums and History

Quad Cities, IL/IA (October 1, 2026) - Museums across the Quad Cities will open their doors for the 11th annual QC Museum Month this October, inviting residents and visitors to explore the region’s museums. Presented by Visit Quad Cities and participating museums, QC Museum Month celebrates a variety of experiences. From science and art to local history and historic homes, more than 20 participating locations will be part of the 2026 celebration.

"The Quad Cities is a destination of variety, and our region's museums showcase the diversity, stories, creativity, and energy that Quad Citizens and our visitors experience every day," said Katrina Keuning, Brand and Content Strategist. "For more than a decade, we have been proud and honored to support the museums that continue to enhance our quality of life and place."

Participants can make the most of their QC Museum Month experience by signing up for the free mobile pass, which allows them to browse museums, find deals, and track their museum visits. Every check-in earns you an entry toward one of two grand prizes: A one-year membership to a participating QC Museum Month museum or a behind-the-scenes tour of one of the participating historic homes.
