Russell is pleased to announce the addition of Mike Poster as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This strategic move is part of a broader initiative to enhance leadership resources and capacity as the company continues its impressive growth trajectory.

Mike Poster brings a wealth of experience from his previous role at St. Ambrose University, where he developed strong financial strategies and operational efficiencies. As CFO, Mike will oversee Russell’s construction accounting, Talent & Development, and Information Technology. His expertise will be instrumental in strengthening the company’s financial strategy and streamlining internal operations as it scales for the future.

With over 16 years of experience as the Chief Financial Officer at a not-for-profit, four-year institution, Mike has expertly managed administrative and financial operations, including Accounting, Human Resources, Security, Compliance, and Information Technology. This role builds on Mike’s extensive 20-year background in public accounting, primarily focused on auditing and consulting. A St. Ambrose University alumnus with a Bachelor’s in Accounting and a minor in Business Administration, Mike became a Certified Public Accountant in July 1989. Mike also remains deeply involved in the community as Treasurer and Board Member of The Putnam Museum, a member of the Finance Council for the Diocese of Davenport, and an active participant in the Business Advocacy Committee of the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce.

Vicky Ellison will be transitioning to a new role dedicated to overseeing all financial aspects of our real estate development activities. Vicky Ellison, who has provided exceptional financial leadership at Russell for the past eight years, will step into the role of CFO, Real Estate. In this capacity, Vicky will collaborate closely with our real estate team on project proformas, manage lender and equity relationships, guide investor communications, and drive revenue growth strategies. We’re thrilled to see her continue to excel in this critical area of our business.
