The City of Davenport is offering an educational opportunity for small business owners to learn how to do business with municipalities, including the City of Davenport and City of Bettendorf. This workshop covers the process of registering as a supplier, finding bid opportunities and submitting proposals. 

The workshop will also cover how to become certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), as certified by the State of Iowa. Projects that are paid for using federal transportation funds are required to ensure DBEs have a fair and legitimate chance to bid on those projects.

The small business purchasing and DBE certification workshop will be held on December 11, 2024 at 10 a.m. in the Davenport Public Library Fairmount Brance meeting rooms.

This event is hosted at no coast in collaboration with the City of Bettendorf. Registration is advance is not required.
