Quad City Animal Welfare Center Celebrates 20th Annual Mutt Strut

MILAN, IL — The Quad City Animal Welfare Center (QCAWC) invites animal lovers and their four-legged friends to celebrate the 20th Annual Mutt Strut on Sunday, September 6, 2026, from noon to 2 p.m. at Camden Park in Milan, Illinois, during the Milan Harvest Festival.

This year's celebration will feature a casual half mile dog walk, activities, games, shopping, giveaways, vendors, and plenty of opportunities to spend time with fellow animal lovers.

Registration is $25 for participants who would like to receive a Mutt Strut goody bag and event T shirt. Participants are encouraged to register in advance through Eventbrite.

Attendees are also encouraged to help stock QCAWC's Pet Food Pantry. Anyone who brings a bag of cat or dog food to Mutt Strut will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Petco gift card.

Mutt Strut will also feature a variety of local businesses, organizations, rescue groups, and vendors, giving attendees plenty to explore before and after the walk.

Dogs attending Mutt Strut must be current on their rabies vaccination and remain on a leash. Retractable leashes are not permitted. Dogs in heat should remain at home, and participants are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Water will be available for dogs along the walk.

Proceeds from Mutt Strut benefit the animals and programs of the Quad City Animal Welfare Center and help QCAWC continue providing shelter, adoption services, veterinary care, humane education, and other resources for pets and people throughout the community.
