With 152 units across the Quad Cities, Humility Homes and Services owns and operates a significant number of properties, resulting in a considerable cost for lawn care and maintenance. These units serve a crucial role in keeping people out of homelessness. The Adopt a Property program aims to alleviate this burden by engaging volunteers to support the upkeep and beautification of these properties, ensuring that resources can be redirected towards providing essential housing solutions and support services.

Key highlights of the Adopt a Property program include:

• Assigned Properties: Volunteers will be matched with properties conveniently located to them, which they will commit to caring for throughout the summer months.
• Flexible Commitment: This is a commitment to all summer long, with tasks scheduled every two weeks. Volunteers must be able to commit to twice a week maintenance sessions.
• Volunteers Provide Tools: Participants are required to bring their own tools for lawn care, landscaping, and other maintenance tasks.
• Positive Impact: From picking up debris to mowing lawns and weeding, volunteers will directly contribute to the beautification of local neighborhoods and the well-being of residents.
