The Hungry Hobo Announces Grand Opening of Glen Grove Store
ROCK ISLAND, Illinois – The Hungry Hobo announced the grand opening of its Glen Grove store. The store is located at 3459 Forest Grove Drive in Bettendorf, IA 52722 and open Monday through Sunday from 10:30A to 8:00P. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place with the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce on Friday, December 19th at 4:00P.
“We’ve been looking to open a store near the TBK Sports Complex for quite some time, and thanks to the Geifman Group, were finally able to find a drive thru location that made sense for us.” said Pryce T. Boeye, President and CEO of the company. “This will be our 4th drive thru location, 2nd in Bettendorf, and 3rd location where you’ll be able to get Hobo and Whitey’s at the same complex!”
The Hungry Hobo is a chain of sandwich shops that was created in 1973 by Jim Gende, Ray Pearson, Joe Gende, and Tom Spero, and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023. The concept specializes in sliced-to-order and grilled sandwiches, baked potatoes with a variety of toppings, chef-prepared soups, shredded-lettuce salads, and desserts that are baked daily in The Hobo Bakery. They have 12 convenient Quad-City area locations, accept all major credit cards, deliver box lunches and party items, and have made their everyday menu available for delivery through DoorDash and Grubhub. They also have an app and loyalty program, and have been voted Best Sandwiches by the Quad-City Times and Locals Love Us for several years in a row, including 2025.
