An attorney by training, Betsy McVay started the analytics group at UnityPoint Health from scratch, and will describe this journey. Join us, as this discussion should be relevant to everyone!

About the speaker
McVay is Vice President, Chief Analytics Officer for UnityPoint Health and works with a team that’s located across the UnityPoint Health footprint, including Madison, Cedar Rapids and Des Moines. While she splits her time in three different cities, she calls West Liberty, Iowa home. Her passion for using data and information to improve care quality, efficiency and experience has supported the system’s focus on analytics maturity.
Under McVay’s leadership, her team focuses on mastering the use of both descriptive and predictive analytics, which has helped position UnityPoint Health in the top decile for performance measures. Her work prioritizes partnering with clinical and business leadership to solve today’s health care challenges. McVay earned her Master of Health Administration and Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University.
