Effectively Creating and Using Video as a Social Media and Web Tool
Presented by Nick Scott & Chris Cashion, Silver Oaks Communications
If a picture is worth 1000 words, then video can be priceless in telling your organization’s story. In our very visual society, video is the medium of choice to get your message out to the masses. It’s used every day on web sites, and it’s now recognized before text in social media algorithms. Done correctly, your video will captivate your audience.
On Sept. 22 join Nick Scott and Chris Cashion from Silver Oaks Communications, Moline, Illinois, to learn how to make video work for you. They’ll offer tips to help you create video yourself, how to choose a professional to create it for you and how to use video intelligently for your web purposes.
About our speakers
Nick Scott is the president of Silver Oaks, having worked previously as a marketing specialist. He is currently in charge of coordinating team planning and client communications. He oversees all project details and ensures that all scheduling and budgetary goals are kept on track. Working with department managers, he facilitates a smooth transition from conceptual development through completion. Nick earned his BA in Art & Design from Iowa State University and brought his background in marketing communications and account management home to Silver Oaks Communications.
Chris Cashion is an account manager with Silver Oaks who has had her finger on the pulse of the local business community for more than 25 years. She’s helped create comprehensive marketing campaigns and award-winning ads, spent time as a reporter covering government and business, and previously taught small business marketing at Black Hawk College. She holds a BA in Communications from Teikyo Marycrest University.
