Hub Huddle: Innovating to Diversify
Description
Hub Huddles are an opportunity for manufacturing leaders to share, on a peer-to-peer basis, best practices for growth and strategies to overcoming challenges.
Innovating to Diversify
Think innovation is just for the “big guys?” Think again.
Join Terry Loughrin from the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC) as he explores reasons and approaches to innovate as a small to mid-size manufacturer. The group will discuss not only the importance of innovation to the profitability of your business but also what steps you can take to empower your organization's culture and approach. In addition, you can share and compare feedback with regional manufacturing peers in a group discussion format. This session will encourage you to think outside the box in evaluating your own strategy and give you steps you can take to nurture an innovative culture.
About the speaker:
Terry Loughrin is IMEC's Quad Cities Regional Manager and has over 30 years of industry experience within the agricultural and off-highway equipment and component markets. Terry has held senior management positions in engineering, product safety, sales, manufacturing and operations. Having served as Lean Site Continuous Improvement Leader, he specializes in Lean Manufacturing, organizational assessments, supply chain development, business planning and integration of acquisitions. Terry holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville.
