The Arc of the Quad Cities Area is hosting a Parent Learning Series focused on providing the tools parents of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities need to be the most effective. Attendees will learn how to create and protect the life you wish for your child, sibling or loved one.

Workshop Description:
Parents and students, by law, are equal partners on the IEP team. Parents know their child the best and can offer insight regarding their strengths and weaknesses. This workshop is designed to provide parents with the skills needed to feel confident to understand and participate in the IEP process. An overview of the parental safeguards, IEP paperwork, and transition plans will be covered.
