Description
In today’s political climate, advocacy has become a bit of a buzzword and many are looking for ways to get engaged in politics to drive change. Would you like to be more active in government affairs but not sure how to start? This month’s Amp Up will help.
One of the greatest benefits of your Chamber membership is the ability to easily connect with elected officials and opportunities to leverage the power of membership to move the needle on important legislation. As a member of the Quad Cities Chamber, your business interests are at the top of the Chamber’s legislative priorities, and we advocate for policies that will support growing the Quad Cities economy.
As the legislative season is about to begin, we’ve brought together a few members to share why advocacy has been important to their business, best practices when reaching out to legislators, and how you can utilize the Chamber to be effective in promoting change.
Panelists include:
Ryan Burchett, Mississippi River Distilling Company
Nasreen Khan, The Vault Beauty Lounge and Urban Retreat
Bill Stoermer, Exelon
Moderated by: Pryce Boeye, Hungry Hobo
