Description

This event is an art auction and wine tasting that highlights professionally framed and matted watercolor paintings created by residents that live in local memory care facilities. Jana Quin, of Stenzel Auction Services, will auction off each painting starting at 7 p.m . Last year this event raised $10,000 for the local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. Appetizers and wine tastings from a local winery are included in the cost of the ticket. A cash bar will be available.

Memories in the Making is a creative art expression program for individuals with Alzheimer's or related dementias. Even after people with dementia have lost the ability to use words, they are often able to express thoughts, emotions and share memories through painting with watercolors.
