Description
Please join the City of Bettendorf for a dedication of the Pat and Jack Bush Scenic Overlook on Thursday, October 11th at 3:30pm. Located at 3727 Elm Street – south on 35th Street from US 67, to Elm Street – when you turn left on Elm Street the Scenic Overlook will be about 500 feet down from 25th Street on the right hand side. There is additional parking available across the street from the Overlook if that lot is full.
This exciting new addition to the Bettendorf Riverfront is a great compliment to the Riverfront Recreation Trail that is also a portion of the Mississippi Riverfront Trail “MRT” that runs from Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico.
Pat and Jack were a team in life and life long partners for over 57 years, and raised their family in Bettendorf for their entire married lives. They were philanthropic supporters, personally contributing to many community projects that have strengthened and grown Bettendorf. The McCarthy-Bush Corporation donated the land for the scenic overlook, making the project possible.
