Join us for a speaker panel with superintendents from both Iowa and Illinois to discuss issues they are facing and the impact on our Quad Cities school districts, workforce and community as a whole.
Iowa: The Iowa Legislature is currently debating legislation that would implement a variety of changes to the Iowa Code regarding education. Some of the changes being debated include Voluntary Diversity Plans, charter schools, in-person instruction, and a new proposed grant program Student First Scholarship Program.
Illinois: Illinois educators are impacted by remote learning in Illinois, the need for reliable internet for all students and recent efforts Illinois school districts have taken to make this a reality.
There will be time for Q&A.
Featured Speakers:
- Dr. Michelle Morse, Superintendent, Bettendorf Community School District
- TJ Schneckloth, Superintendent, Davenport Community School District
- Joe Stutting, Superintendent, North Scott Community School District
- Dr. Jay Morrow, Superintendent, United Township High School District 30
