The 3rd annual Race Against Racism is scheduled for May 22, 2021, with a race course that travels along the Mississippi River waterfront, starting and finishing at Lindsay Park Yacht Club in Davenport. A 5k run or walk option is available, as well as a 1-mile fun run. What makes this event unique is that in addition to the race element, there is a special recognition ceremony for Race Against Racism Honorees. Nominations are encouraged and accepted for individuals who are actively taking a stand against racism either through their words, actions or volunteerism and inspiring change which has had a positive impact on our community. Anyone can nominate anyone and out of all nominations, ten outstanding individuals will be recognized for their efforts in this very important cause.
