Position Summary:
The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the credit union branch, ensuring the highest level of customer service, operational efficiency, and achievement of financial goals. The Branch Manager leads, motivates, and develops a team of staff while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and credit union policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Branch Operations Management: Oversee all daily branch operations, including member transactions, staff schedules, cash handling, and operational procedures. Ensure compliance with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and to ensure the security and safety of our membership.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Hire, train, coach, and evaluate branch staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages growth and teamwork.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure members receive exceptional service by addressing their banking needs, resolving issues, and making recommendations for appropriate financial products and services. Address escalated concerns and work to maintain high member satisfaction.
  • Business Development: Drive the branch's business development efforts by identifying opportunities for the communities in which we serve.
  • Financial Management: Monitor branch performance, including budget adherence, profitability, and loan production. Prepare reports on branch performance for senior management and develop strategies for improving operational efficiency and achieving financial targets.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure the branch operates in full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including BSA/AML (Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering), credit union policies, and security protocols. Identify and mitigate potential risks related to fraud, financial losses, and non-compliance.
  • Community Relations: Represent the credit union in the local community by participating in events, fostering partnerships, and building relationships with businesses and community organizations to enhance the credit union’s visibility and reputation.
  • Technology & Systems: Stay informed about the latest technologies, tools, and systems that enhance branch operations. Ensure that staff is trained and proficient in using the credit union’s software and systems.  
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Branch Manager experience with a bank or credit union.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in banking, credit union, or financial services industry, with at least 1-2 years in a management role.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with a proven track record of motivating staff to achieve performance goals.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking products, services, and regulations, including BSA/AML and credit union policies.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Work Environment:
  • Full-time position.
  • Fast-paced environment with responsibility for a wide range of tasks and staff supervision.
Other Duties:
Performs other related duties assigned that support the operational needs of TFCU. Duties may be modified or expanded as business needs change.
