Manager, Membership Sales

This role plays a key part in growing Chamber revenue through membership and sponsorship sales and thrives in a team-oriented environment where collaboration, shared goals, and collective success are valued.

Location: Davenport, Iowa
Salary: Base plus commission with expected annual salary range between $40,000 - $85,915.
Summary: The Manager, Membership Sales is responsible for contributing to the achievement of Chamber revenue goals by identifying, cultivating and securing new Chamber members, and maintaining ongoing relationships with existing members. This individual also works to secure new sponsorships when appropriate. The primary focus of the Manager, Membership Sales is to increase Chamber revenues through sales of new and renewed memberships and sponsorship opportunities.
The position entails a variety of duties pertaining to revenue growth through membership and sponsorship sales, member relations, tier level upgrades and partnerships with the Quad Cities Chamber.

Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.
- Makes initial contact with prospective businesses, schedules appointments and personal visits, educates and informs as to the programs and benefits offered by the Chamber, ability to ask for and close the sale.
- Actively seeks out new businesses and follows up in a timely and appropriate manner via appointments, cold calls, email or other appropriate communication channels.
- Maintains knowledge of goals, objectives and services provided by the Chamber.
- Consistently achieves budgeted revenue and retention goals.
- Educates current members on Chamber benefits available to them.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all members, provide resources, and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Track sales metrics, prepare reports, and present regular updates to Executive Director regarding sales pipeline and retention goals.
- Maintain knowledge of chamber services, membership benefits, events, and resources to effectively promote and convey their value to prospective and current members.
- Proficient with software packages used to track sales and retention activity.
- Actively supports and participates in Chamber events and programs.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Education/Experience:
- Experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing
- Must have a professional, service-oriented attitude
- Experience in Microsoft Office is required (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable and flexible
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
