Retail Sales Associate

Grand Appliance & TV is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our Davenport, Iowa showroom. In this role, you will help customers find the right appliances to enhance their homes while delivering an exceptional, consultative shopping experience. Whether you are an experienced salesperson or looking to launch a career in retail sales, we provide comprehensive training, ongoing support, and a competitive commission-based compensation structure to set you up for success.

Position Summary

As a Retail Sales Associate at Grand Appliance & TV, you will serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their needs, educating them on product options, and guiding them through the appliance selection process. You will build long-term relationships, deliver personalized solutions, and contribute to the success of a family-owned business known for service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming, professional showroom experience

• Engage customers to understand their appliance needs, preferences, and lifestyle

• Provide knowledgeable product recommendations across a wide range of premium appliance brands

• Conduct product demonstrations highlighting features, benefits, and value

• Assist customers in making confident, informed purchasing decisions

• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business

• Process sales transactions accurately and in compliance with company policies

• Meet and exceed individual and team sales goals through exceptional service and effective selling techniques

• Collaborate with teammates to achieve showroom goals and maintain a positive team environment

• Participate in ongoing training to stay current on product knowledge, technology, and sales best practices

• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom

• Respond to customer questions, concerns, and follow-ups in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

• Prior sales or customer service experience preferred, but not required

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset

• Energetic, personable, and comfortable engaging with a wide range of customers

• Problem-solving skills and a positive, solution-oriented attitude

• Willingness to learn and retain detailed product knowledge

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
