Job Summary

The Accountant role is responsible for managing the financial lifecycle of real estate transactions, specifically focusing on agent commissions, trust accounts, financial reporting, and agent onboarding. It serves as a key liaison between real estate agents, MLS administrators, and the Controller.

Essential Functions
-
Commission Processing: Process closings and calculate commissions, and distribute commission checks for agents of Ruhl&Ruhl Realtors. Work with Accounting Associate to ensure all incoming commission checks are received, deposited, and posted to 7900 clearing accounts.

Escrow & Trust Management: Deposit earnest money checks and ensure they are accurately posted to Profit Power. Assist controller in resolving issues with trust account reconciliation.

Agent and MLS Staff Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for agents regarding commission questions and payment timing. Escalate questions or issues to Controller when appropriate. Assist in training MLS Administrators in proper company procedures and forms.

Financial System Integration: Ensure data is accurately integrated from Profit Power to Microsoft Dynamics GP. Perform monthly GCI reconciliation to ensure accuracy. Work with Controller to troubleshoot issues.

Financial reporting: Generate month-end reports, market analysis, and reports for clubs/awards.

Agent Onboarding and Personnel Files: Ensuring all new agents provide and sign the appropriate documentation. Ensure Tax ID information is accurately entered into profit power and maintain agent personnel files.

Level of Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, but an associates degree with prior accounting or real estate experience is acceptable.
Working Conditions

Climate controlled office.

Hours are between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday.

Minimum Qualifications
