Position Summary:
The Coordinator, Events & Membership is responsible for planning and executing high-quality events and programs that advance the priorities of the Chamber and provide tangible value to members and investors. This position works collaboratively with all Chamber staff to determine and manage programs and events that directly support the organization’s priorities. The Coordinator, Events reports to the Executive Director, Membership & Events.
Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items.

Coordinates all aspects of assigned programs and events including planning, timelines, logistics, event and program execution, post event analysis, sponsor benefits fulfillment and financial tracking

Collaborates with the Communications team to develop promotional materials, invitations, and messaging that drive attendance and highlight event value.

Collaborate with internal teams to streamline events that support strategic initiatives, promote member engagement, and deliver measurable value to stakeholders.

Liaison for Chamber staff to assist with logistics and planning for ongoing, regular programs and events

Staff liaison with Chamber members and community businesses to execute programs and events

Processes events within the Customer Relations Management (CRM) software to ensure accurate event details, promotion, fees and registrations

Collaborates with the Manager, Events to maintain the Chamber Events annual budget, which includes event-specific budgets

Organizes and executes assigned business celebrations and ribbon cuttings as needed.

Upholds, supports, and promotes all company policies and procedures

Participates annually to advance the Chamber’s DEI strategy

Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual in this position must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.
Education/Experience:
2-5 years of progressively responsible experience in events, marketing, public relations and/or communications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in events, public relations or marketing related field preferred

Previous experience creating and managing a budget
Equipment and Software Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Proficiency in CRM and database software preferred

Must be able to operate standard office equipment, including telephone, calculator, computer, printer and copier.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable
Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
