Integration Technician

Position Summary: Complete all engineered system assembly, electrical and mechanical, system debug, teardown and installation while meeting company standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Take initiative to meet challenging project timelines and hour budgets;
  • Provide the following system troubleshooting needs: wiring, mechanical assembly;
  • Working knowledge of PLC, HMI, robot logic/path programming, networking;
  • Ensure system schematics are updated to as-build conditions;
  • Assist in field start-up and customer training when necessary (i.e., travel);
  • Assist in-house customer service support (i.e., training, phone, service calls, etc.);
  • Uphold company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives;
  • Travel for Installations & Service Calls; and
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Experience / Skills:

  • High attention to detail and quality;
  • Able to plan and execute daily and weekly scheduled tasks;
  • Able to keep work area clean and organized;
  • Able to follow directions from peers within the Integration department;
  • Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills;
  • Safely operate fork trucks and overhead cranes;
  • Technical degree in similar engineering field required, or equivalent industry experience;
  • Machine programming (PLC/HMI) experience - Rockwell, GE;
  • Safety system programming and troubleshooting experience;
  • Network programming and troubleshooting experience;
  • Robot programming experience - Fanuc or ABB;
  • Experience in robotic welding (MIG, TIG, Laser, or Spot) strongly preferred;

  • Educational, training and experience requirements may be modified at the management team’s discretion.

 

Nonessential Skills and Experience:

  • Safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) standards. 

 

Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S):

  • Understand the Company’s EH&S Policy and how it relates to this job;
  • Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as company rules and policies that pertain to this job;
  • Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EH&S procedures;
  • Immediately notify the supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly or if there are any questions regarding EH&S procedures; and
  • Attend required EH&S training.

  • Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate; temperature in the assembly area may fluctuate with the seasons, as the production area is not air-conditioned.
