Qualifications:

• Education Required: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Education Preferred: Licensed or license eligible.
• Experience Required: Any relevant experience; open.
• Experience Preferred: Therapeutic experience with survivors and/or grief, loss, and trauma.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and vehicle with appropriate auto insurance required. Must be able to pass the motor vehicle record background check.

Position Specifics

• Typically reflecting a 32-hour work week.
• Position Hours: Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with some flexibility to meet the needs of clients.
• Full-time position.
• Nonexempt hourly position.
• $27.05 per hour estimated $45,000.00 per year.
• Comprehensive benefits are offered.
• Service Area: Rock Island, Henry, and Mercer counties
• On-call is required for this position.

Position Details

The Therapist of Grief, Loss, and Trauma will provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered therapeutic individual, group, and family therapy to meet the therapeutic needs of survivors of homicide and other violent crimes and individuals experiencing crisis in the communities served. They will be on an on-call rotation with the Homicide and Other Violent Crimes program in the following counties Rock Island, Henry, and Mercer counties. This position must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance. These responsibilities are carried out under the direction of the Supervisor – Other Violent Crimes. This position will need to have a flexible schedule that may include working some nights, weekends, and holidays.
