Job Description
EICC is seeking a part-time, Head coach for our men’s soccer team based out of Scott Community College.
This role will coach and teach the sport of soccer. Assist with daily planning, organization and supervision of practices and competitions.
Required Qualifications
· High school diploma
· Valid driver’s license
· Experience coaching at any level
 
Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, recreational services, health and wellness or related field
  • Coaching experience at the high school or college level
  • Knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations
  • CPR/First Aid Certified
 
Physical Demands
Eye-hand, mind-eye coordination, physical dexterity, and the ability to bend, stoop, walk, talk, and sit. The ability to travel between locations.
Salary $13,000 per season
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
1) Represent the college at appropriate athletic meetings;
2) Work closely with the athletic director and admissions in the recruiting of student athletes;
3) Plan the physical conditioning program for student athletes participating in the sports during both the regular season as well as the off-season;
4) Work to create the team schedule;
5) Report to the office of financial aid and business office all changes in athletic scholarships awarded;
6) Coordinate fundraising efforts with the athletic director and the foundations office;
7) Maintain knowledge and compliance with NJCAA, ICCAC and other governing bodies and by-laws;
8) Accompany teams when traveling to and from other institutions;
9) Make transportation arrangements for practices and games;
10) Maintain inventories of uniforms and equipment;
11) Facilitate meetings at the beginning of each semester with athletes regarding participation expectations;
12) Work with the marketing team to create materials;
13) Arrange for personnel to keep statistics;
14) Keep and update team rosters in the NJCAA portal;
15) Update website after each contest;
16) Keep accurate records of student health coverage. Assist players in the completion of appropriate forms;
17) Supervise field management;
18) Work with the athletic director to schedule mandatory weekly office hours;
19) Be committed to providing quality service that meets or exceeds expectations of internal and external customers;
20) Other duties as assigned
