APPOINTMENT: Full-time, tenure-track appointment beginning August 20, 2026.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate instruction in both traditional in-person and online formats in the areas of supply chain/logistics and business analytics, with a primary emphasis on equipping students and professionals with skills needed to effectively manage operations and supply chains in an increasingly complex, data-driven business environment. A minimum teaching load of 3/3 is required. Candidates are expected to maintain an active research agenda consistent with AACSB Scholarly Academic (SA) qualification. Service to the School, College, University, profession, and community is expected, including engagement with business and industry partners.

 

RANK & SALARY: Assistant Professor, 9-month appointment. $8,440 - $9,378 per month, commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• An earned Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations & Supply Management, or a closely-related field from an AACSB-accredited institution, OR a Ph.D./DBA in a related business field with a dissertation focused on supply chain management or logistics. ABD candidates may be considered if degree completion is expected prior to appointment.

• Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Business/Supply Chain Analytics, Supply Chain Risk Management, and two of the following courses: Logistics/Transportation & Distribution; Purchasing & Supply Management; Project Management; Supply Chain & Operations Management.

• Demonstrated ability to teach in both in-person and online formats, with a commitment to high-quality, student-centered instruction.

• Demonstrated potential for maintaining AACSB Scholarly Academic (SA) qualification through peer-reviewed research in supply chain management, logistics, operations, analytics, or related areas.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated commitment to teaching, research, and service.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Established record of high-quality scholarship in supply chain management, logistics, operations, analytics, or related fields, consistent with AACSB SA qualification.

• Independent teaching experience in supply chain management, business analytics, logistics, or operations management.

• Experience integrating industry-based projects, real-world datasets, simulations, or experiential learning into SCM and analytics courses.

• Proficiency with analytics and SCM technologies, such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, SAP, optimization platforms, DAT or Sonar, or similar

• Professional certifications, such as CSCMP SCPro, APICS/ASCM CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management), PMP (Project Management Professional), Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt (ASQ or equivalent), CSCA (Certified Supply Chain Analytics Professional), or similar.

• Demonstrated ability to engage with business and industry partners or supervise applied supply chain and analytics initiatives.

 

For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body). Unless otherwise stated, the degree must be conferred at the time of appointment.
