Job Description

 

Oversees daily operations of the DeWitt Career Advancement Center. Serves as a liaison for CCC/EICC to DeWitt and the surrounding communities.

Required Qualifications

 

Associate degree required. Bachelors degree with a minimum of two years' experience in an education atmosphere preferred. Good public relations skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

 

• Must be able to perform all operations necessary for training.

 

• Must be able to assess proficiency of trainees.

 

• This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

• This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

 

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

 

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

 

• Responsible for the daily operations of the DeWitt Career Advancement Center. Resolves all situations within the Center that affects the general welfare of staff, students, faculty, tenants, and the public.

• Oversees the scheduling of rooms for course and community activities in the Center. Responsible for the scheduling and/or rental with both internal and external constituents.

• Evening and weekend availability may be required for select events and programs; advance notice of scheduling will be provided.

• Actively promotes the college's credit and non-credit offerings and provides the public with general information about the college.

• Serves as a liaison between the community, school district and the college.

• Serve as a primary point of contact for students seeking guidance on college resources, policies, and procedures.

• Communicate with area students, faculty and staff to keep informed about college policies and activities.

• Contribute to a welcoming, student-centered campus culture through planning campus activities that enrich the overall college experience.

• Processes and records petty cash expenditures in accordance with established financial procedures.

• Supports the Concurrent Department staff (CCTC, Academy Advisor, etc.).

• Provide tours to community members and High School students

• Manage both internal organizational events and external community or partnership events to ensure smooth planning, coordination, and execution

• Oversee contractor and vendor relationships, including coordination and communication.

• Offer additional assistance and support for CCC activities and initiatives as required.

• Committed to providing quality service that meets or exceeds the expectations of internal and external customers.
