APPOINTMENT: October 2025
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching in Pre-licensure BSN undergraduate program. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in course development as well as classroom, laboratory, and clinical supervision of students as well as course faculty meetings and School of Nursing Faculty Senate meetings.
RANK & SALARY: $7,778 per month. 9-month; 100% appointment.

Job Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in nursing and one year of nursing experience in the clinical area for Associate Faculty status, or doctorate in nursing and one year of teaching experience in the clinical area for Associate Faculty status. The successful applicant must be eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference given to candidates with PhD (or imminent) in nursing or related field, or Doctor of Nursing Practice. Teaching experience in the clinical area is preferred.
For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body). Unless otherwise stated, the degree must be conferred at the time of appointment.

THE DEPARTMENT: The School of Nursing at Western Illinois University currently offers a BSN degree for pre-licensure Students. The program is approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The Macomb area is rich in young adult, rural health, community/public health, and gerontological research opportunities.
