About Us

Founded in 1966, Bellevue University is a non-profit, open access institution with more than 50,000 graduates worldwide.

The University is a recognized national leader in preparing students for lifelong career success while making college affordable. Our Real Mastery® approach helps students not only learn, but master, the knowledge and skills employers expect. Students apply learning to real world situations, giving them the confidence to showcase their talents to a current or future employer.

Routinely ranked among the nation’s top military-friendly institutions, the University serves students at its main campus in Bellevue, Nebraska, just outside of Omaha. Bellevue University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (hlcommission.org), a regional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

In 2018, Bellevue University and Eastern Iowa Community College entered a partnership to encourage students to complete and transfer from their associate degree into a bachelor degree program. Bellevue has a Relationship Manager on site at Scott Community College to meet and help students reach their educational goals.
